Xiaomi Secures Exclusive Rights to Debut Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
As per a new leak by a source privy to this information, it is the phone maker Xiaomi that has an exclusive deal with the chip maker to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 first.
Hence, the first 2 devices that shall be donning the same shall be Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro.
For the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, Xiaomi has the exclusive first launch rights.
Next to the Xiaomi smartphones, the chip shall be used in OnePlus & iQOO with their OnePlus 13 and the iQOO 13.
OnePlus, iQOO, and Xiaomi Set to Lead with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
While the order may change, the aforementioned are ‘the usual suspects’ based on history.
The predecessor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, was also first launched in the OnePlus 12, iQOO 12, Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro in China.
Global releases for the Xiaomi 15, OnePlus 13, and iQOO 13 may trail the Chinese launch by a few weeks as has become tradition.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro never got a global release, so the same might happen with its successor.
