In a fresh notification, Govt of India has announced that all international flights in India stand suspended and banned till January 31st, 2021.

All International Flights Remain Suspended
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has released a fresh notification, wherein it has been stated that all international flights in India will be banned till January 31st.
All regular international flights are already suspended, and only those flights which are under the air bubble, are allowed.
DGCA said, “Govt of India extends suspension of scheduled commercial international flights till 31 Jan, 2021,”
Exceptions For This Ban
Only those international flights will be allowed, which are part of the air bubble arrangement between India and the other countries such as US, UK, Australia and some more nations.
Here is the list of all nations with whom Air Bubble arrangement is made by Indian Govt.
Except these, all cargo flights will be allowed.
Vande Bharat Flights, which are special Air India flights to bring back stranded NRIs are also being allowed.
Except these, there will be no scheduled flights allowed till January 31st, 2021.
DGCA said, “International scheduled flights may be allowed on select routes by the competent authority on a case-to-case basis,”
Govt of India suspended all international flights as on May 25th.
Vaccination Will Help?
As we had reported earlier, there were rumors that Govt of India can resume all international flights like pre-Covid 19 era, as vaccination has already started in the US and the UK and other European nations.
However, the emergence of the new strain of Covid-19 has changed all such plans, as this new variant has been found in Denmark, Netherlands, Australia, Italy, Sweden, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Japan, Lebanon and Singapore.
As of now, Govt of India is waiting and watching the developments, and will take next steps accordingly.
