The Oppo sub-brand Realme earlier confirmed that it will be the first smartphone manufacturer in the world to launch a device with the latest MediaTek Helio P70 chipset.

Launched last month, Helio P70 is the new entry-flagship chipset from MediaTek.

Well, now the company has officially confirmed that Realme will launch a new Realme smartphone under its U-series powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core chipset. This is going to be an all-new series backed by some new features.

Realme U1 Smartphone: New Series & Specs

Realme has officially confirmed that it will launch a smartphone powered by MediaTek Helio P70 chipset. The company will launch the Realme U smartphone under the new U series product.

The Realme U smartphone is going to be the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the newly launched MediaTek Helio P70 chipset.

Previously Realme used a MediaTek chip in its very first smartphone, Realme 1. Soon the company turned to Qualcomm and launched Realme 2 and Realme C1 with Snapdragon 450 SoC and Realme 2 Pro with Snapdragon 660 chipset.

Again, the company will be going to back to MediaTek, and the next Realme smartphone will launch with Helio P70 chipset.

Realme U1 Smartphone With Helio P70 Chipset: Top Features

The Realme U smartphone will get powered by MediaTek Helio P70. The chipset uses TSMC 12nm FinFET process with some major improvements.

Performance

The upcoming Realme smartphone will see some upgrade in terms of performance compared to Realme 1 with Helio P60. The new smartphone will deliver a 13 percent better performance compared to the Helio P60.

Efficiency

The new Realme U will have higher clock speeds with ARM Cortex-A73 cores clocking at up to 2.1 GHz. The SoC will get backed by more efficiency-oriented ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocking at 2.0 GHz.

Better Graphics

The new chipset will enhance the graphics performance and overall color accuracy with ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU clocking at up to 900 MHz on the upcoming Realme U1.

Depth-Mapping Performance

The Realme U smartphone will come with an improved high-resolution depth engine to offer a better and enhanced 3X boost in depth-mapping performance.

Better Photography

The new processor on Realme U1 will allow smoother 24fps visual bokeh which will include real-time HDR capture support to improve photography. You can also capture pictures in RAW-domain multi-frame HDR format.

Hardware Warping Engine

Helio P70 has a hardware warping engine what will come with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The Realme smartphone will support AI facial detection with intelligent scene detection to adjust colors and lighting.

Realme U Smartphone Price | Realme U1 Price

The Realme smartphones are priced very aggressively. The upcoming Reame U smartphone or Realme U1 is also expected to be priced very competitively. The smartphone may start to price somewhere between 12,000 to 15,000 rupees.

The Realme U series smartphones will come with solid front camera performance.

The upcoming Realme U series smartphone is expected to sport a similar design language as Realme 2 Pro. You will again get to see a water-drop notch, polycarbonate body, and rear dual cameras.

Realme U Smartphone Launch | Realme U1 Launch

The company hinted at a smartphone launch somewhere at the end of November. Realme earlier said that it will launch two more phones by the end of this year. So, the Realme U1 is expected to launch India later this month or maybe in early December.

Update: The company has sent an invite confirming the launch on November 28. Realme also confirmed that Realme U1 will be available exclusively via Amazon.

The smartphone will be launched in the budget mid-range category around Realme 2 Pro pricing.
