Why The Prices Are Expected To Go High?

The falling Indian Rupee against American Dollar has been the major reason. Most of the budget smartphones, imported in full or parts are expected cost higher soon. After Xiaomi and Realme, other budget foreign smartphone brands like Asus and Honor expected to hike their prices as well.

Companies who operate at thin profit margins, are forced to increase the prices in order to be operational.

The government has been trying its level best to boost up smartphone manufacturing in the country. While most of the companies say their phones are Made In India, they actually bring in the parts from China and assemble them in India.

The pricing issue can only be solved only when these smartphone companies start to manufacture everything from scratch in India, including even the small parts.
