In an invitation leak, supposedly the launch date of upcoming OnePlus 6T has been confirmed. Leaked on Weibo, the invitation has the date October 17 which was previously rumoured as well.
But the exciting part is that the smartphone will launch the same day in India as globally.
As per the leak, OnePlus 6T will be unveiled exclusively in India on October 17. In another interesting development it was found that OnePlus 6T will go on sale as early as from October 21 in the country.
OnePlus 6T India Launch
The leaked media invite of OnePlus 6T confirms the India launch date. It comes with the tagline “Unlock The Speed”, the same from the last OP 6T commercial aired. OnePlus India has megastar Amitabh Bachchan as its brand ambassador.
The OnePlus 6T ad aired had Mr. Bachchan describing the OnePlus 6T during an Asia Cup match last week.
OnePlus 6T is going to be the first OnePlus smartphone to ditch the fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and the “Unlock The Speed” tagline is hinting at it.
This is still yet to be confirmed, so its better you take it with a pinch of salt. OnePlus 6T launch is less than a month away, and the official dates will be out by early October.
OnePlus 6T Alleged Specifications & Features
The smartphone is going to clone Oppo R17 Pro on the out. Among the major changes, we will get to see a water-drop notch display, an in-display fingerprint sensor and will ship without a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, the device is expected to run Android 9.0 Pie straight out of the box.
The in-display fingerprint sensor and water-drop notch, both are a first for a OnePlus smartphone. On the out, it will be more like a Opp R17 Pro without the bright colour combinations.
OnePlus has finally dropped the headphone jack for its 6T model. It smartphone will come with a Type C Bullets earphones inside the box.
The internals will remain more or less similar. The device will get powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor clubbed with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
OnePlus 6T Teaser On Amazon India
Amazon India now has a dedicated page for OnePlus 6T with the “coming soon” tag. Its official online vendor in the country, OnePlus confirmed OnePlus 6T via an official teaser on the Amazon India last week. OnePlus 6T will be available exclusively via Amazon India, OnePlus Online stores and OnePlus Experience stores offline.
OnePlus is yet to confirm the launch date officially, but October 17 seems like a very probable date for the launch.
Also, OnePlus quietly confirmed the date during its in-display fingerprint sensor confirmation. The screenshot had October 17 as the date, and this invitation leak only helps to confirm it.
