Reservations for the cruiser motorcycle started in November 2022, and according to RE, deliveries should start in the first week of February 2023. Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Design:
The Royal Enfield Meteor 650 features a classic retro cruiser design, including an upright riding position, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a chunky fender for the rear tire, a circular LED headlight (a first for any RE motorcycle), a round taillight, an antique two-piece scalloped seat without grabrails, and a twin exhaust setup that is prominently located.
The Super Meteor 650 is constructed on the same chassis as 650 twins, but it uses a new tubular steel frame for a more relaxed and comfortable riding position. The same 648 cc parallel-twin oil/air cooled engine drives a six-speed gearbox to power the motorcycle. The engine produces peak torque of 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm and 47 bhp at 7,250 rpm, which is comparable to what the parallel-twin engines in the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 produce.
The Super Meteor 650 receives an offset circular instrument console and the RE Tripper navigation pod from the Meteor 350 in terms of features. Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey, and Interstellar Green are the five color options for the new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 solo tourer model. The Super Meteor 650 Tourer, which comes in Celestial Red and Celestial Blue, is the grand tourer model. The Grand Tourer package will include several extras, such as leatherette panniers, a tall windshield, engine crash guards, larger rear-view mirrors, and a pillion backrest.
