Blending nostalgia with modern edge, the Yamaha XSR155 arrives to turn heads while keeping every ride effortlessly approachable. XSR155 mixes classic looks with MT-15 underpinnings and has been introduced with the price of Rs. 1,49,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Yamaha XSR155 – Compact Retro Style Meets Modern Performance

The most compact member of Yamaha’s modern-retro family comes with round LED headlamp, teardrop tank, and simple LCD console set the tone, while the upright stance keeps it friendly for daily use. This is a measured update to the 150–160cc scene with a balance of style and hardware.

Plonked with 155cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve single with Variable Valve Actuation, the engine produced 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm paired to a six-speed gearbox with an assist-and-slipper clutch.

This setup delivers strong low-end power and a smooth top-end, making city driving and short highway trips easy. It comes standard with dual-channel ABS and traction control.

Yamaha XSR155 – Lightweight Retro Appeal with Modern Customization

The XSR155 uses Yamaha’s Deltabox frame with upside-down front forks and a linked monoshock. Its aluminium swingarm keeps the bike light and responsive. Seventeen-inch wheels and a balanced riding position make it easy for new riders while still fun for experienced ones.

There are 4 colour options – Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic, and Metallic Blue, and two official accessory packs – Scrambler & Café Racer. The former pack adds a taller stance and mild-trail cues, while the latter brings a sportier seat and styling touches. Both give owners a quick way to personalise the bike without hunting for aftermarket parts.

The XSR155 targets riders who want retro appeal without the size and weight of bigger singles. It will inevitably be cross-shopped with the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 for its look and price proximity, but the Yamaha fights back with lighter mass, higher-rev character, and richer electronics.

Summary

XSR155 by Yamaha blends retro style with modern performance, priced at ₹1,49,990 (ex-Delhi). Powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled engine with 18.1bhp, six-speed gearbox, ABS, and traction control, it’s agile and city-friendly. Featuring a Deltabox frame, upside-down forks, monoshock, and 17-inch wheels, it’s easy for new riders yet fun for experienced ones. Available in four colors with Scrambler and Café Racer packs.
