Just ahead of its rumoured launch in October, the specs of Xiaomi 15 are out and this leak would give a fair idea to those who were waiting for its launch.

Xiaomi 15 Important Details You Should Know: 50MP Camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite & More

Notably, a Pro variant is expected to be included in the launch.

Xiaomi 15 Specifications

  • As per a tipster, Yogesh Brar, Xiaomi 15 smartphone will feature a 6.36-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. So, basically it would have the same display hardware of its predecessor.
  • Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which is the upcoming flagship chipset from Qualcomm launching later this month, it is rumoured that it could be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite and not the 8 Gen 4 this time.
  • On the optics front, it is believed that the phone would house a 50MP OV50H primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 3.2x telephoto lens. The phone will come with Leica optics like its predecessor.
  • Housing a battery of 5,500mAh, the smartphone comes with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
  • Coming to the software side, it will most likely run HyperOS 2.0 with Android 15 layered on top. It’s also tipped to come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Xiaomi 15 Pro Upgrade Insights

By and large, if we were to summarize the upgrade areas, then it would be chipset, telephoto, and battery. Though there is no info as such on the design part, but the leaked renders of the Xiaomi 15 Pro suggest what changes we can expect from the vanilla model.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro looks quite the same as the 14 Pro featuring flat edges and a square camera module. The only difference is that the flash now sits outside the sensors.

Expected to launch firstly in China, and later in other markets which includes India. The launch date of the flagship Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro is not yet announced.

Summary

The specs of Xiaomi 15 have been leaked, prior to its rumoured launch in October. With a 6.36-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the phone would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. On the camera front, it would have feature a 50MP primary, ultra-wide, and telephoto camera with Leica optics. A 5,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging would ensure that phone has enough battery.
