World's 1st CNG Bike Will Launch In June By Bajaj: Full Details!

Launch of First CNG Bike By Bajaj

And why not! As Bajaj Auto is developing the world’s first CNG motorcycle.

Besides this, the vehicle manufacturing company has  recently fast-tracked the launch of the upcoming offering from 2025 to this year itself.

Rajiv Bajaj confirmed that the first Bajaj CNG motorcycle will be launched in June this year, in a recent media interaction.

The automobile vehicle manufacturer is already in news for developing a range of CNG-powered motorcycles aimed at mileage-conscious customers.

It is expected that the prices of these bikes will be higher than their corresponding petrol versions.

As far as the technical details of the CNG-powered bike are concerned, they are still under wraps.

But the speculations suggest that the project is internally known as the Bruzer E101 which is rumored to use a 110cc engine.

When it comes to the manufacturing setup, this upcoming CNG-powered bike is likely to be manufactured at the brand’s Aurangabad and Pant Nagar plants.

Besides this, the bike maker is planning to have a production plan which can build 2 lakh units per annum.

Considering the CNG motorcycle, this is arguably Bajaj Auto’s most ambitious project yet in recent years.

This is due to the fact that the automobile manufacturer  has the knowledge and know-how to build CNG three-wheelers.

When it comes to replicating the technology on a motorcycle, it will be a first of its kind anywhere in the world.

Bruzer E101 Specifications & Features

Earlier, the company had highlighted the salient features of the upcoming CNG motorcycle.

This includes reduced tailpipe emissions, a 50-65 percent cost reduction and also 50 percent reduction in CO2 emissions reportedly.

A front disc brake and commuter stance of the motorcycle hinting at a 110-125 cc offering is also revealed in recent spy shots.

It is noteworthy here that the operating cost will be a huge factor with the CNG bike as it is targeting mileage-conscious consumers.

Besides this, the motorcycle will come with a second storage cylinder for CNG.

It will also be offered with a technology to run on both petrol and CNG.

For this, Bajaj is planning to introduce a new sub-brand especially for the CNG range as it expects to spawn more products in the coming times.

The markel analysts are expecting that the CNG offering will be priced higher than the petrol variants considering  the extensive changes having higher manufacturing costs.
