The Vietnamese carmaker VinFast has launched its first cars in India: the VF6 and VF7.
The VinFast VF6 is priced between ₹16.49 lakh and ₹18.29 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India) and the VinFast VF7 is priced between ₹20.89 lakh and ₹25.49 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
The VinFast VF6 rivals include the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and Mahindra BE 6. Meanwhile, VinFast VF7 rivals include the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Sealion 7, BMW iX1, and the upcoming Volvo EX30.
Vietnamese Brand VinFast Launches VF6 and VF7 in India
The VF6’s design is described as understated and elegant, with clean body lines.
Exterior highlights of the VF6 include projector LED headlights, eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs with a VinFast logo in the centre, LED light bars at the rear styled like the DRLs, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and thick body cladding on the wheel arches and lower portion for a rugged look.
The VF6 cabin has a dual-tone theme (variant-dependent), a minimalistic dashboard, and a 3-spoke steering wheel.
The VF6 features a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8-speaker sound system.
It does not have a traditional driver’s display; instead, information is shown via a coloured head-up display (HUD).
Other VF7 interior features include ventilated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic AC with rear vents, a wireless phone charger, and a panoramic glass roof.
The VF6 safety package includes Level-2 ADAS, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a 360-degree camera, and blind spot monitoring.
The VF6 comes with a 59.6 kWh battery pack and two front-axle-mounted FWD motor options:
177 PS, 250 Nm torque, 468 km range
204 PS, 310 Nm torque, 463 km range
The VF7 is positioned as the bigger sibling to the VF6.
Its exterior design is bold and aggressive, with sharper cuts and creases.
The VF7 has similar LED DRLs as the VF6 but gets projector LED headlights with an additional LED strip for distinction.

Exterior highlights of the VF7 include 19-inch alloy wheels, sleek LED tail light bars with a VinFast logo at the centre, flush-type door handles for a premium look.
Inside, the VF7 uses leatherette materials on major touchpoints to create an upmarket feel.
It also features a dual-tone cabin, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, and a HUD like the VF6.
Other VF7 interior features include ventilated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic AC with rear vents, a wireless phone charger, and a panoramic glass roof.
The VF7 offers both FWD and AWD powertrain options with two battery pack choices, which are 59.6 kWh (FWD), 70.8 kWh (FWD or AWD).
