At the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, Toyota fans were expecting a big reveal, but the brand stayed silent throughout the event. New Toyota Prado Spotted in India: Design, Features, and Expectations
The spy images show the new Prado featuring design cues similar to its international counterpart, including sleek LED headlamps, a muscular bonnet, and a bold new grille with the Toyota logo. The vehicle’s tall, boxy shape, combined with chunky wheel arches, gives it a strong, commanding presence.
Inside, the Prado sports an all-black interior theme, with a blend of retro and modern design elements. Toyota will offer a 5-seater version of this SUV in India. The cabin is packed with advanced features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a single-pane sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated and powered front seats, a wireless charger, and a JBL sound system. Notably, Toyota has kept button controls on the Prado, which many users appreciate for a tactile and reliable experience.
Toyota Prado’s Powertrain and Pricing Expectations for India
While Toyota has not yet revealed details about the powertrain, it’s expected that the Prado will come with a 2.8-litre diesel engine, producing 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. There is also a possibility of a 48V hybrid powertrain being introduced.
As for the launch date, Toyota has not officially confirmed when the Prado will be available in India, but it is expected to arrive soon through the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. Given its premium features and design, the Prado is expected to be priced above Rs 1 crore (on-road, Mumbai), making it a high-end offering in the Indian market.
