Recently, the Japanese automotive manufacturer, Toyota, launched the new Rumion MPV in India.
The prices for this latest MPV is starting from Rs 10.29 lakh for the base S variant, going up to Rs 13.68 lakh for the top-end V automatic variant, reportedly.
The car maker officially commenced the bookings, for Rs 11,000 on 28 August.
Coming to the Toyota Rumion, it is essentially a badge-engineered Maruti Suzuki Ertiga with minimal cosmetic changes.
Besides petrol, Toyota Rumion is also offered with CNG option right from launch which is priced at Rs 11.24 lakh.
This latest MPV from Toyot comes with three trim levels including, S, G, V and the automatic gearbox on offer for all except the mid-spec G trim.
Further, the factory-fitted CNG kit is available only on the base S trim.
Pricing For Toyota Rumion
If we compare Rumion to Ertiga, Ertiga’s price ranges between Rs 8.64 lakh to Rs 13.08 lakh.
At the sametime, this latest MPV has one lesser trim level, which results in a much higher starting price.
Besides this, Rumion also commands a premium of Rs 51,000-61,000 over the Ertiga, according to the selected trim.

Toyota Rumion Features & Specifications
Notably, the Rumion isn’t much differentiated from the Ertiga cosmetically.
It means that the only differences are on the bumper where it gets new trapezoidal fog lamp housings, and a new Innova Crysta-like grille.
Apart from this, there are also new dual-tone alloys.
The rest of the profile and rear end are identical to the Ertiga.
Coming to interior, it is also identical as it continues with the dual-tone black and beige dashboard finish with a faux wood insert, as is the beige upholstery.
For features, the top-spec Rumion gets features like a 7.0-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic AC, analog instrument cluster with a digital MID, connected car tech, four airbags, ESC and more.
Please note here that this latest MPV is only offered in 7-seat configuration.
The Toyota Rumion is powered by Maruti’s 103hp, 137Nm, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.
It comes mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
In case of the CNG trim, the same engine produces 88hp and 121.5Nm, and only gets the manual gearbox option.
When it comes to fuel efficiency, the Tokio headquartered brand claims that the Rumion petrol has a fuel efficiency of 20.51kpl, while the Rumion CNG returns 26.11km/kg.
This MPV comes with a standard warranty of 3 years/1,00,000 km, which can be extended to 5 years/2,20,000 km.
