Just ahead of the festival season, the Union govt has come with a bouquet of presents for the general public of the country by slashing the GST on cars and bikes.

Considering the timing, this is seen as a game-changer move as they are expecting the sales numbers to rise in the coming months.
This would be possible due to reduction in price of almost every ICE-powered vehicle including big SUV or small sized hatchback reportedly.
While that happens, lets talk about the top 5 full-sized SUVs which are getting cheaper after the roll out of GST 2.0 in the country.
1. Skoda Kodiaq
As we know that the Kodiaq SUV is retailed in two derivatives namely Sportline and Selection L&K at price points of Rs 46.89 lakh and Rs 49.24 lakh, respectively.
Its price has come down by up to Rs 3.28 lakh post the GST reduction.
Both of these variants are powered by a 2.0L TSI petrol engine with automatic gearbox as standard.
So after this reduction, the new price for the Sportline and Selection L&K, as per Skoda India official website, would be Rs 43.76 lakh and Rs 45.96 lakh, respectively.
2. Jeep Meridian
After the recently introduced 2025 GST reforms in the country, this 7-seater SUV has become cheaper by up to Rs 2.47 lakh.
It is available in both petrol and diesel fuel trims, which is priced between Rs 24.99-36.79 lakh.
After the slashing of the prices in the range of Rs 1.66-2.47 lakh, its prices are brought down in the bracket of Rs 23.33-34.34 lakh.
3. MG Gloster
This one become more affordable by up to Rs 3.04 lakh due to the fact that it has been put in the 40 percent GST slab from the 50 percent tax category.
Presently this SUV is priced between Rs 41.07-46.23 lakh and with the 2025 GST reforms, it could come down to 38.36-43.19 lakh. It is likely to get a price cut in the range of Rs 2.71-3.04 lakh.
4. Citroen C5 Aircross
The C5 Aircross harvests the maximum benefits of GST reduction as its starting price comes down to Rs 37.32 lakh for the Shine variant with a massive drop by nearly Rs 2.70 lakh.
At present, Citroen C5 Aircross is priced at Rs 39.99 lakh as it comes in a single fully-loaded Shine variant in the country.
5. Toyota Fortuner
This one is the undisputed leader of the full-size SUV segment from the last decade has the revised GST rates.
Now, the SUV has become cheaper by up to Rs 3.49 lakh, depending on the variant.
After this implimentation, its base 4×2 MT petrol grade gets more economical by Rs 2.40 lakh.
Similarly, its range-topping GRS trim receives the highest benefit of Rs 3.49 lakh, thus bringing the effective price below Rs 50 lakh mark.
