The new Curvv coupe SUV’s release date for the Indian market has been confirmed by Tata Motors, and the much-awaited car is to be launched in India on 7 August 2024.

The Curvv will be the first vehicle in its class to be available with both ICE and EV drivetrains. It promises 500 kms on single charge.

Tata Motors Confirms Curvv’s Release Date in India

It’s uncertain if the costs for the two powerplant variants will be disclosed on launch day.

Tata Motors’ teaser trailers have unveiled the Curvv’s salient characteristics. The external includes dual pod vertically stacked LED headlights and LED DRLs like the Nexon line. The Curvv will feature a sloping roofline, flush-fitting door handles, and new alloy wheels.

There may be an LED light bar on the back in addition to wraparound inverted L-shaped LED taillights.

The interior features include paddle shifters, ventilated front seats, and a sunroof.

The vehicle will include a totally digital instrument panel and a large touchscreen infotainment system along with Drive modes, an ADAS suite, and a two-spoke steering wheel.

Engines available for the ICE variant will be 1.5-liter diesel and 1.2-liter turbo-petrol and transmissions that are manual or automatic will be matched with these engines. The electric vehicle version’s technical specs are unknown. The electric model should have a 500-mile range on a single full charge.

Teaser of Tata Curvv

The company recently released a teaser of the car suggesting at its coming launch. The teaser read “A new icon – A new silhouette – An SUV coupé. #TataCURVV #TataCurvvEV – coming soon”. The teaser appears to be a silhouette of the car along with few design elements. 

Taking inspiration from its larger siblings, the Harrier and Safari facelifts. Curvv expected to have a tall bumper with a wide air dam.

The Curvv EV is expected to offer an impressive range of 400-500 km on a single charge, thanks to its larger battery pack, with regard to powertrain. The Battery of Curvv EV is notably higher than the Nexon EV, which has a 30.2 kWh battery pack.

The Curvv EV is expected to have a dual-motor setup, enabling all-wheel drive potentiality for better performance on different countryside.
