Finally, the Indian automotive firm, Tata Motors has announced the launch of the much-awaited Altroz Racer in the country.

Interestingly, the prices for the Altroz Racer start at Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). 

This latest launch from Tata belongs to the premium hatchback segment hence expected to replace the i-Turbo range and will sit atop the range.

The newly launched Altroz Racer will be offered in three trim levels including R1, R2 and R3. 

Out of these, the mid-level R2 variant is priced at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

When it comes to the looks, the color which is marketed showcases a dual-tone Avenue White hue. 

Besides this, the all new Altroz Racer can be offered with two more paint schemes, namely, Atomic Orange and Pure Gray. 

Coming to the variants, the customer is provided with three options including R1, R2, and R3.

If you are looking for interiors, this new launch by TATA comes draped in an all-black theme with red and white accents for the interiors.

Altroz Racer Features & Specifications

As expected, the latest launched Altroz Racer will come loaded with numerous features including a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, seven-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, blind spot monitor, air purifier, 360-degree surround camera, and an electrically adjustable sunroof.

The Altroz Racer is powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine as the Nexon SUV.

This helps in producing 118bhp and 170Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, instead of the 5-speed that was available on the i-Turbo variants. 

The Tata Altroz Racer is made to rival with the likes of the Hyundai i20 N Line, Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor.

Besides this, the inside of the Altroz Racer features a voice-assisted sunroof, a 360-degree camera and ventilated front seats, which is a first in the segment. 

This latest launch also comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This is a larger unit than the standard Altroz along with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. 

When it comes to safety, Racer is equipped with ABS, ESC and six airbags as standard. 

In addition to these, there is new leatherette upholstery which will catch your eyes with contrast stitching along with color-specific inserts around the AC vents and gear lever.

Last but certainly not least, the Altroz Racer comes with a more powerful powertrain.
