Summer Special Trains Announced From Pune To Gorakhpur, Danapur, Nagpur

To manage the surge in passenger travel during the upcoming summer vacation season, Central Railway has announced several Summer Special train services from Pune to important destinations across India, including Danapur, Gorakhpur, Nagpur, and Ghazipur City.

These additional services aim to reduce overcrowding and provide more travel options for passengers during the peak holiday period. Railway authorities stated that the trains will operate with special charges while covering major routes connecting Pune with northern and central parts of the country. The initiative is expected to make travel smoother for thousands of passengers planning long-distance journeys during the summer months.

Central Railway Launches Summer Special Trains from Pune to Key Cities

One of the most important services introduced is the Pune–Danapur Daily Special train, which will run a total of 212 trips. The train will depart daily from Pune between April 1 and July 15, completing 106 journeys, while the return service from Danapur will operate from April 3 to July 17 with another 106 trips. This service is expected to benefit passengers travelling between Maharashtra and eastern India. In addition, Central Railway will operate a Pune–Gorakhpur Daily Special throughout April. The train will leave Pune daily from April 1 to April 30, completing 30 trips, while the return service from Gorakhpur will run from April 2 to May 1, covering another 30 trips.

To strengthen connectivity within Maharashtra, two weekly superfast Summer Special trains between Pune and Nagpur have also been announced. The first train will depart from Pune every Tuesday between April 21 and July 14, completing 13 trips, with the return service from Nagpur running every Wednesday from April 22 to July 15. The second weekly train will operate from Pune on Wednesdays between April 15 and July 15, making 14 trips, while the return journey from Nagpur will run on Thursdays from April 16 to July 16 with 14 trips. Additionally, a Pune–Ghazipur City Bi-weekly Special will run eight trips. Reservations for all these trains will open on March 17 through the Passenger Reservation System counters and the IRCTC website. Passengers are advised to check schedules on the National Train Enquiry System before travelling.
