Once again Samsung devices are facing the same issue as multiple users reported the reappearance of the persistent “green line” on their devices.

Reappearance Of Samsung Green Line Issue
As we know that this issue appeared earlier too which causes the appearance of vertical or sometimes horizontal green line on the screen, widely reported across social media platforms recently.
Please note here that it is not affecting every unit, but still it has raised concern among consumers considering its recurrence across different Samsung models over the years.
When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy smartphones, they have long been using AMOLED screens, especially the flagship phones.

Moreover, this technology has also been utilized in mid-range as well as some budget-friendly devices the past five years
However, it still has this display-related issue, known as Green Line.
Basically this issue causes the disturbance in screen pixels and forms a line (or lines) that overlays the on-screen content.
Most of the time these lines are spotted vertically, but in a few rare cases, some users report horizontal and, sometimes, in pink and white colors.
Interestingly, these issues are reported in India, but it’s also spread in other parts of the world.
Why Would This Happen?
So far, there’s no clear explanation behind its origin, but it appears to be an issue related with a hardware or software-related problem.
There is a probability that such phones may have a faulty display or degraded longevity over time, leading to pixel disturbance, which could turn permanent.
On the other hand, saveral users reported that the green line appeared during or after an update installation.
Few mentioned One UI 7, the latest major OS update raising the point that the issue may be caused by software and hardware incompatibility.
There is another possibility with temperature, as using a phone in high temperatures could lead to a display-specific problem.
For instance, using the phone while charging, long sessions of high-performance games and apps, video recording, and software update pressurize the processing unit and generate heat inside the device.
So, when this heat is not dissipated through the internal thermal system, it reflects through the screen.
There is another argument that the displays are designed to endure high temperatures so this logic cannot be applied to any defective or degraded panel.
Another possibility is physical damage, such as dropping the device, applying unnecessary force, or long exposure to direct sunlight are some of the last reasons that could lead to the green line issue.

In response to this, Samsung has acknowledged the issue and they have come up with a free one-time screen replacement program in India, which is likely to be similar in other countries.
Please note here that they have certain conditions to qualify for this program as the affected device must meet, including a physical device inspection.
