Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2700 processor could challenge Qualcomm’s dominance in the flagship Android smartphone market, according to newly reported internal benchmark results. The leaked figures suggest that Samsung’s next-generation chipset has outperformed Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in selected CPU and GPU tests.

The Exynos 2700 is expected to power some models in Samsung’s Galaxy S27 series, anticipated in 2027. However, the performance claims remain unverified by independent testing.

Exynos 2700 vs Snapdragon: What Do the Benchmarks Show?

According to a report by South Korean media, the Exynos 2700 scored approximately 13,000 points in Geekbench 6.5’s multi-core test, compared with around 11,000 points for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.

This represents a reported performance advantage of approximately 20% in that particular test. In Geekbench 7.0, the Exynos processor reportedly maintained a lead of around 15%.

The gap was reportedly even larger when the Exynos 2700 was compared with the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. Samsung’s chip allegedly delivered 44% higher multi-core performance in Geekbench 6.5 and 36% in Geekbench 7.0.

These percentages relate to different Snapdragon processors and benchmark versions. They should not be interpreted as a single, universal performance advantage.

Gaming Performance Could Also Improve

The leaked results also suggest that the Exynos 2700 could deliver stronger graphics performance than Qualcomm’s top-tier chipset.

In one demanding gaming-related graphics test, Samsung’s processor reportedly achieved up to 20% higher peak performance. In another test measuring basic graphics processing in demanding 3D games, its advantage was closer to 5%.

The results indicate that performance differences may depend heavily on the workload. Without details about the specific games, graphics settings and testing conditions, it is too early to predict actual frame rates or gaming improvements on a retail smartphone.

New Architecture and 2nm Manufacturing

Previous leaks suggest that the Exynos 2700 could use Samsung’s second-generation 2nm manufacturing process, known as SF2P. The processor is also tipped to feature a redesigned 10-core CPU, an Xclipse 970 GPU and support for next-generation LPDDR6 memory.

Samsung is reportedly working on improved heat-management technology to help maintain performance under sustained workloads. These details remain based on leaks rather than a complete official specification sheet.

Could Exynos 2700 Power the Galaxy S27?

The Exynos 2700 is expected to feature in at least some Galaxy S27 models, although the final chipset allocation across models and regions has not been confirmed.

Even if the leaked benchmark figures are accurate, real-world performance will depend on power consumption, thermal management, software optimisation and sustained workloads. Independent tests will be necessary to determine whether Samsung can translate its reported benchmark advantage into a better everyday smartphone experience.

Summary: Samsung’s Exynos 2700 reportedly beats Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 by around 20% in Geekbench 6.5 multi-core testing, with smaller gains in other tests. The chip may also offer improved gaming performance and use a second-generation 2nm process. However, the leaked results remain unverified, and real-world performance will only become clear after independent testing.
