On May 18, Realme announced the launch of its “slimmest smartphone,” dubbed as Realme Narzo N53 in India.
Realme Narzo N53 Launch In India
Considering the nearing launch, the smartphone maker has already revealed the phone’s design ahead of the official launch.
Although, some specifications remain unclear.
This seems to be the second smartphone under Realme’s Narzo N-series in just two months.
The company launched the Narzo N55 for Rs 10,999 for the base variant last month.
Narzo N53 Specifications
This new launch promised a value-for-money performance having extra focus on the camera system.
As per the speculations, this new Narzo N53 could be cheaper than the Narzo N55 considering the number-naming scheme.
The Narzo N53 will come in a gold finish — a color option not available with the Narzo N55, as per the official image.
Interestingly, the rear panel has three cutouts, but there are only two camera sensors.
The third cutout seems to be accommodating the LED flash but offers an impression of an extra rear camera.
Further, the shared image reveals volume rockers and a power button on the right which is also a standard design language across Realme smartphones.
Coming to the power button, it will seemingly double as a fingerprint scanner.
A few users claim to have spotted the charging and memory details on Twitter.
Reportedly, the phone will be offered with 16GB of virtual RAM and 33W fast charging.
Interestingly, the Realme Narzo N55 also provides the same charging speed for the 5,000mAh battery.
So far, the phone maker has not clarified the exact measurements, despite calling it its slimmest smartphone.
The Realme Narzo N55 is considered one of the thinnest Realme phones, measuring 7.89 inches in thickness presently.
Speculations suggest that the phone measures around 7.7mm.
This is interesting as these days, slim phones have become a rarity as OEMs struggle to fit the big battery and large camera sensors in a compact form factor.
So far, iPhones used to be one of the slimmest phones on the market.
But, its latest models are becoming relatively thicker each year.
Considering the trend, the Apple iPhone X series measured 7.7mm in thickness, but the iPhone 11 series’ size increased to 8.3 inches.
Again, Apple trimmed the thickness to 7.4 inches with iPhone 12 series, but it again increased by a few notches with iPhone 13 series.
In the case of Android smartphones, slim smartphones are rare, and most devices look and feel similar.
Although, some of Samsung’s M-series phones are extremely slim and portable.
For instance, Galaxy M52 of 2021 and Galaxy M53 of last year measure 7.4mm in thickness.
Realme said that the Realme Narzo N53 will be available for sale on Amazon.
