HMD Global has unveiled the Nokia C22, a new budget-friendly Android Go Edition smartphone in India.
The device features a 6.5-inch HD+ screen, powered by the Unisoc 9863A1 SoC, and offers up to 4GB of RAM with an additional 2GB of virtual RAM.
Nokia C22 Launched with Android 13 Go Edition
It runs on Android 13 Go Edition and promises two years of quarterly security updates. The phone is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
Adam Ferguson, Head of Product Marketing at HMD Global, expressed that the Nokia C-series aims to provide reliable and affordable smartphones with a great user experience. The Nokia C22 continues this tradition by offering enhanced durability against drops, ensuring a robust device that users can trust and rely on for a longer period.
Additionally, Jio Plus (Postpaid) Nokia phone users will enjoy special benefits worth up to INR 3,500, including 100GB of additional data spread over 10 months, and coupons for services like EazyDiner, Ixigo flights, and ET Prime subscriptions.
As part of the Jio Partner Offer, Jio Plus (Postpaid) users on the INR 399 plan will receive 75GB of monthly data and 3 add-on SIMs.
Nokia C22: Specifications and Features
It also boasts IP52 splash and dust protection, toughened 2.5D display glass, and a sturdy polycarbonate unibody design with a metal chassis. The Nokia C22 houses a 5000mAh battery, which offers up to 3 days of battery life.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia C22 features a 6.5-inch HD+ V-notch 20:9 toughened glass display, a 1.6GHz Unisoc SC9863A Octa-Core processor with IMG8322 GPU, 2GB or 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD. It runs on Android 13 (Go edition) and supports dual nano SIM cards with an additional microSD slot.
The phone includes a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP macro sensor, as well as an 8MP front-facing camera. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, and dust and splash resistance with an IP52 rating. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support.
The Nokia C22 is available in Charcoal, Sand, and Purple colors. The 2GB RAM model is priced at Rs. 7,999, while the 4GB RAM variant costs Rs. 8,499. It can be purchased from Nokia.com and offline stores.
