Two Models, POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro, are all ready and behind the curtains before there imminent launch date which could either be April last or early May.
However, it has now been reported that only the POCO F5 will make it to Indian markets.
POCO F5 comes as the successor to last year’s POCO F4. The two latest models by POCO have appeared on Geekbench, it has also unleashed the specifications of the two.
It was through a cryptic tweet that the POCO India Head, Himanshu Tandon hinted the launch of the POCO F5 and also confirmed through another tweet that the phone will only come in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB storage configurations, based on a poll among his followers.
This suggests that the POCO F5 might be the only POCO phone to have a 256GB variant, as the X and M-series may not have it.
POCO F5 Indian Variant
As per the listing on Geekbench, the POCO F5 Indian variant with model number 23049PCD8I has achieved a single-core score of 1118 points and a multi-core score of 4236 points.
The phone shall also come with 8GB of RAM and will run Android 13 as its operating system. The SoC’s clock speed is 2.92GHz, with 3 cores running at 2.50GHz and 4 cores running at 1.80GHz.
POCO F5 Global Variant
The POCO F5 Pro Global variant, identified as model number 23013PC75G, has achieved a single-core score of 1302 and a multi-core score of 4080.
Expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 (possibly 8+ Gen1) processor, which can reach a peak clock speed of 3.0GHz, and will have 12GB of RAM. Additionally, the POCO F5 Pro is anticipated to run on Android 13 as its default operating system.
As per trivia for the unaware, the Pocophone F1 or Poco F1 was the first POCO brand phone and was launched in August 2018, which was received well by the audiences.
