In response to recurring AMOLED screen issues, OnePlus has launched a new initiative offering free screen replacements for select phone models. This proactive approach, part of the Red Cable Club loyalty program, aims to address the green line issue that has affected various smartphone brands.

OnePlus Offering Free Screen Replacement For Selected Smartphones: Check Full List

Eligible Models: The program specifically targets the OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9R models. Users of these devices can visit OnePlus service centers for a diagnostic to determine if their screen is at risk. The initiative is designed to preemptively replace potentially faulty displays, ensuring a better user experience.

Program Details: OnePlus’ initiative includes three tiers of service:

  1. Comprehensive Diagnostics: This involves a thorough evaluation of the screen’s performance and reliability, identifying any potential issues that may arise.
  2. Screen Upgrades and Replacements: Eligible users will receive a new, advanced display panel designed to improve performance with vibrant colors and increased durability. These screens are specifically engineered to perform well in high-humidity and high-temperature environments, ensuring they can withstand various conditions.
  3. Deep Cleaning Service: OnePlus offers a complimentary, in-depth cleaning of the device, enhancing its overall performance and longevity.

Conditions and Availability: To be eligible for the free screen replacement, devices must be free of any damage or unauthorized repairs. The offer is available to users in India through the Red Cable Club section in the phone’s settings. Users can find out more about their eligibility and the process through this section.

Developing New Screen Technology: OnePlus has collaborated with its suppliers to develop new screen technology for these older devices, which are no longer sold. These new screens promise improved resilience to moisture and other environmental conditions, offering a longer lifespan and better user experience.

Exclusions: Devices with human-caused damages, such as drops or liquid intrusion, are not eligible for this free upgrade. Such devices should be repaired through OnePlus’ standard after-sales service.

Conclusion: OnePlus’ new initiative demonstrates the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction and device longevity. By offering free screen replacements and other services, OnePlus aims to address and resolve the green line issue proactively. This approach sets a positive example for the industry, highlighting the importance of preemptive care and customer loyalty programs in maintaining brand trust and user satisfaction.
