On Tuesday, Ola Electric unveiled its latest entry-level electric scooter called the S1X, priced at an introductory rate of Rs 79,999, in a move to compete with traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts.
The company also presented four electric motorcycles, set to launch by late 2024.

Ola Electric’s new S1X electric scooter comes in three versions: S1X with a 2KWh battery, S1X with a 3KWh battery, and S1X+ with a 3KWh battery and extra connected features. Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO, revealed these details at an event in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu.
The introductory price for the S1X with a 2KWh battery is Rs. 79,999 for the first week, then Rs. 89,999. Bookings are open, with deliveries starting in December, suitable for 10 to 20 km daily commutes.
The S1X with a 3KWh battery starts at Rs. 89,999 for the first week, then Rs. 99,999. Bookings are open, and deliveries begin in December.
The S1X+ with a 3KWh battery and enhanced features is initially priced at Rs. 99,999 for the first week, later at Rs. 1,09,999. Bookings are open, and deliveries start by the end of September.
Aggarwal pointed out that the differentiation between the S1X and S1X+ lies in their software and connectivity features. The S1X boasts a single-charge range of 151 kilometers and a top speed of 90 km/hour.

Aggarwal emphasized that these scooters signify the shift away from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, highlighting the cost benefits of owning an electric scooter over a traditional ICE one.
Ola Electric also introduced the second-generation S1Pro, priced at Rs. 1,47,499 (ex-showroom). Bookings are open, and deliveries will begin in mid-September.
With the addition of these new models, Ola Electric’s product lineup now includes S1X (2KWh), S1X, S1X+, S1Air, and S1 Pro, priced between Rs. 89,999 and Rs. 1.47 lakh.
Furthermore, Ola Electric showcased four electric motorcycles—Diamondhead, Adventure, Roadster, and Cruiser—at the event. Aggarwal announced that these electric motorcycles, designed and developed in-house, will make their global debut by the end of 2024. These bikes will be manufactured in India for a global audience.
The company also unveiled its MoveOS4 update, featuring over 100 enhancements and more than 20 new features, including Ola Maps, hill descent, find my scooter, Geo and time fencing.
