Ola Electric Car Can Look Like This.. Patent Filed

What To Expect In Ola’s Upcoming Electric Car?

So far, these patent images reveal limited details but we can get a hint of a compact EV having resemblance to the MG Comet EV.

This latest initiative comes after Ola’s earlier teaser of its first electric car which is showcased during the Sankalp 2025 event.

Now it is quite evident that Ola’s upcoming compact electric car sports a boxy, tallboy stance, drawing visual parallels to the MG Comet EV in terms of overall silhouette as per the design patent images.

Although, Ola’s EV features a more practical four-door configuration along with a dedicated boot not unlike the Comet’s two-door layout.

Offering More Cabin & Cargo Space

Besides this, the Ola EV also appears to be larger in size, offering more cabin and cargo space than its MG rival as witnessed in the design patents.

Moving ahead, these design patents also indicate that Ola’s compact EV places its wheels at the extreme corners, which seems like a move which is aimed at maximizing the interior space.

Considering this layout, it minimizes front and rear overhangs hence giving the car a distinctly utilitarian stance.

In the meantime, its exterior continues the functional design language, with a flat front fascia, clean bumper styling, and sharp lighting elements.

In addition to this, it sports a full-width LED light bar that could also be part of the final package, adding a modern touch to its minimalist profile.

When it comes to the Ola compact electric car, it will be underpinned by its versatile Gen 4 platform further supporting a broad lineup of future products, including a three-wheeler LCV.

Coming to the power supply, Ola’s Gen 4 platform will be having the advanced 4680 Bharat cell which is paired with a newly developed 16 kW electric motor.

As per the company’s claim, this setup delivers a 15 percent boost in energy efficiency over the outgoing Gen 3 architecture.
