More details regarding the rumored Nothing Phone 2a have surfaced, with the budget-friendly phone now spotted on TUV certification revealing 45W charging support. This equals the Nothing Phone 2’s wired charging capabilities, though wireless charging remains unconfirmed.
As per 91Mobiles, TUV records of a device with model number A142 indicate the Phone 2a will leverage USB Power Delivery technology allowing use of universal 45W PD chargers. It is also expected to run MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 chip as Nothing’s first non-Qualcomm device.
Launch Likely at MWC 2023
Previous Phone 2a leaks suggest specs like a 6.7″ 120Hz AMOLED display, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, stock Android 14 software and 50MP + 8MP dual cameras. The affordable sequel to the Nothing Phone 1 is rumored to unveil at MWC 2023 on February 27.
Nothing is focused on delivering premium features and design at disruptive price points. The Phone 2a looks set to expand that proposition into more mainstream budget segments beyond 2023’s mid-range Phone 1 and flagship Phone 2. Fans await pricing details on the 2a at launch.
