Scorpio N Pickup Design & Features

The test mules spotted on Indian roads showcased design elements borrowed from the popular Scorpio N SUV. While the overall look aligns with the concept model, Mahindra may introduce cost-cutting changes, such as replacing LED tail lamps with halogen units. The pickup is likely to feature a leaf-spring suspension setup, enhancing load capacity and affordability.

Performance & Powertrain

Under the hood, the Scorpio N Pickup is expected to retain the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, delivering 175 bhp and 400 Nm torque. Transmission options may include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Mahindra could also offer an all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant with driving modes like:

  • Normal
  • Grass-Gravel-Snow
  • Mud-Ruts
  • Sand

These additions will enhance off-road capability and cater to adventure enthusiasts.

Launch Timeline & Market Strategy

Mahindra is positioning this pickup as a global model, with an initial launch in South Africa. An India launch is expected by late 2025 or early 2026, allowing Mahindra to tap into both domestic and international markets. With growing global demand for lifestyle utility vehicles, this pickup could be a game-changer for the brand’s international presence.
