Like a finely tuned instrument stepping onto a grand stage, Motorola’s newest flagship is preparing for its Indian debut.

A Flagship Steps into the Spotlight

Motorola has confirmed that its latest premium smartphone, the Motorola Signature, will launch in India on January 23. The device was first unveiled earlier this month at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, and the company has now revealed that it will be sold via Flipkart in India. Alongside the launch announcement, Motorola has shared several key specifications of the device, positioning it firmly in the ultra-premium segment.

The Motorola Signature will be available in Pantone Carbon and Pantone Martini Olive colour options. It features a slim 6.99mm profile and weighs 186 grams, with an aluminium frame housing a triple-camera setup and the Moto logo on the rear. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, previously seen on the OnePlus 15R, and is paired with an ArcticMesh cooling system. The device will offer configurations of up to 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage.

On the front, the handset sports a 165Hz LTPO AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 6,200 nits. Audio duties are handled by stereo speakers tuned with Sound by Bose, reinforcing its flagship credentials.

Power, AI and Premium Promises

Running Motorola’s custom interface based on Android 16, the Signature comes with a promise of seven years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. A 5,200mAh battery powers the device, supporting 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Motorola is also emphasising artificial intelligence features, including AI Signature Style for enhanced image effects, AI Adaptive Stabilisation for smoother video capture, and AI Action Shot to keep moving subjects sharp. While full camera specifications have not been officially confirmed, Motorola has revealed that one of the sensors will be the Sony LYTIA 828, with support for Dolby Vision and 8K video recording.

Based on its CES debut, the phone is expected to feature a 50MP Sony LYTIA 828 main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical and up to 100x digital zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. A 50MP autofocus front camera is also anticipated.

Adding to the premium pitch, Motorola is introducing a new Signature Club service, offering concierge-style assistance across travel, dining, wellness and lifestyle experiences.

In Europe, the Motorola Signature launched at 999 euros, roughly ₹1,05,000. In India, leaks suggest pricing could hover around ₹80,000, placing it in direct competition with the Oppo Find X9 and OnePlus 15.

And as the curtain rises, Motorola is betting that design, power and polish will strike the right chord.

Summary

Motorola Signature will launch in India on January 23 via Flipkart. Unveiled at CES, the flagship features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, 165Hz AMOLED display, 5,200mAh battery, advanced AI tools and premium design. Expected to cost around ₹80,000, it will compete with Oppo Find X9 and OnePlus 15 in the high-end segment.
