Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Program

One of the standout features of the Windsor EV is the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) rental program. This unique offering allows customers to pay only for the distance they travel, at Rs 3.5 per km, which significantly reduces the cost of ownership. The BaaS model makes the Windsor EV more affordable by eliminating the upfront cost of the battery, making it an attractive option for those looking to transition from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

Stylish and Minimalist Design

The MG Windsor EV has a sleek crossover body style with a minimalist yet modern design. The exterior features include connected LED DRLs, LED tail lights, and flush door handles that enhance its contemporary look. The car is equipped with 18-inch aerodynamically styled alloy wheels and offers four color options: Starburst Black, Pearl White, Clay Beige, and Turquoise Green.

Spacious and Feature-Packed Cabin

Inside, the Windsor EV boasts an all-black cabin with wooden and bronze accents. The dashboard is adorned with a wooden trim, and the leatherette seats provide a premium feel. The 15.6-inch touchscreen, the largest in any MG car in India, and the 8.8-inch digital driver’s display dominate the tech-laden interior. Additional features include a panoramic glass roof, wireless phone charging, automatic AC, and a powered driver’s seat, ensuring a luxurious driving experience.

Passenger safety is also prioritized with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Powertrain and Range

The MG Windsor EV is powered by a 38 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of up to 331 km. This makes it a highly efficient electric vehicle for both city and long-distance driving.

Conclusion

With its attractive pricing, innovative BaaS program, and impressive range of features, the MG Windsor EV is set to make a significant impact in the Indian electric vehicle market. Bookings begin on October 3, with deliveries scheduled for October 12.
