Maruti, Tata, Kia, Hyundai To Increase Car Price Starting January, 2025

Citing rising input costs, inflation, and supply chain pressures, the Automakers in India have announced price hikes. These includes the likes of Tata, Kia, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra, MG, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi.

Tata Motors: The automaker currently sells 16 models in India, including hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, and a pickup truck, will raise the prices of its passenger and electric vehicles by up to 3% starting in January 2025.

Kia: Citing the increased commodity prices and supply chain-related costs, has announced a price hike of upto 2% from the month of January 2025. Currently, the automaker has 6 car models across 3 cars in SUV category, 1 car in Compact SUV category, 2 cars in MUV category.

Maruti Suzuki: India’s largest carmaker has announced that it will increase the prices of its cars by up to 4% in January 2025. It has 17 car models in India, including 7 Hatchbacks, 3 MUVs, 2 Compact SUVs, 2 SUVs, 1 Compact Sedan, 1 Sedan and 1 Minivan.

Hyundai: Hyundai Motor India has announced that it will increase the prices of its cars by up to Rs 25,000, effective January 1, 2025. The price hike will apply to all model year 2025 (MY25) vehicles. It has 13 car models in India, including 5 cars in SUV category, 1 car in Sedan category, 3 cars in Hatchback category, 3 cars in Compact SUV category, 1 car in Compact Sedan category.

Mahindra: The Mahindra SUVs will see a price increase of up to 3% from January 2025. Mahindra offers 13 car models in India, including 6 cars in SUV category, 5 cars in Compact SUV category, 1 car in MUV category, 1 car in Coupe category.

MG: With 7 cars (5 cars in SUV category, 1 car in Hatchback category, 1 car in MUV category) in its Indian lineup, MG is set undergo a price increase of up to 3%.

Mercedes Benz: With total of 30 models in India across Sedans, SUVs and Hatchbacks, German carmaker has announced that it will raise the prices of its vehicles in India by up to 3%, effective from January.

BMW: BMW India, which sells 23 car models in India, has announced a price hike of up to 3% across its portfolio in India, effective January 1, 2025. This hike shall be applicable for both, locally assembled and CBU models.

Audi: With 16 car models in India, Audi India said that it will increase the prices of all its models in India by up to 3% from January 2025, citing increased input and transportation costs.
