Sales of the e Vitara are anticipated to start in March after Maruti Suzuki unveiled it at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

Following Maruti Suzuki’s customary naming scheme, this midsize electric SUV will be offered in three variants: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. It is built on the e-Heartect platform.

Ten color options are available to buyers, including four dual-tone combinations and six single-tone shades.

More than 50% of the e Vitara’s body is made of high-tensile steel, guaranteeing its strength and rigidity. Its short overhangs and 2,700 mm wheelbase give it a balanced stance and a 5.2-meter turning radius, which enhances maneuverability in crowded areas.

Models such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, and Mahindra BE 6 will be competitors of the e Vitara.

The cabin features door armrests made of breathable Melange Fabric, vertically aligned AC vents, and a dual-tone theme. The interior’s focal points are a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Two battery pack options will be available for the e Vitara: a larger 61.1 kWh version and a 48.8 kWh unit. While the Zeta and Alpha trims offer both battery options, the Delta variant only comes with the 48.8 kWh battery.

For faster recharging times, 70 kW DC fast charging is supported by all models. According to Maruti Suzuki, the e Vitara can travel just over 500 kilometers on a single charge. The supplier of the LFP battery packs is BYD.

Only foreign markets will have access to the all-wheel-drive system.

One electric motor with 142 horsepower and 192.5 Nm of torque is connected to the 48.8 kWh battery. The 61.1 kWh battery version maintains the same torque values but produces 172 bhp more power.

Features on eVitara

Level 2 ADAS for increased safety, sophisticated in-car connectivity, and an Infinity by Harman audio system are extra features.

A PM 2.5 air filter is part of the automatic climate control system, and seven airbags provide complete protection.

Multiple drive modes, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic glass roof, a wireless smartphone charger, and ambient lighting are some of the other important features.

The driver’s seat has a 10-way power adjustment, and the second-row seats can slide and recline.
