Inspired by the Thar desert, Mahindra has unveiled the ‘Earth Edition,’ a special edition of the Thar.
Only the LX hard top versions of the LX gasoline and diesel powertrains are available for the Earth Edition.

Mahindra Launches Earth Edition of Mahindra Thar!
All variants of the Earth Edition have the same price, with an extra Rs 40,000 over the top-spec LX trim.
The ‘Desert Fury’ satin matte beige shade and the dune-inspired door decals are new additions to the Earth Edition’s exterior design.
The alloy wheels, grille, and ORVMs all have distinctive beige shade inserts, and the B-pillars have ‘Earth Edition’ badging. The Earth Edition’s interior features dual-tone leatherette seat upholstery, beige highlights throughout, and contrast beige stitching.
A distinctive, numbered decorative VIN plate with the serial number “1” at the top is included with every Earth Edition. The Earth Edition has the same features as the LX trim, such as cruise control, keyless entry, a 7-inch touchscreen, and more.
Mahindra Thar Earth Edition: Features and Prices
The dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, electronic stability programme (ESP), and rear parking sensors are among the safety features of the Earth Edition.
Both gasoline and diesel engines are offered for the Earth Edition; the gasoline engine produces 152 PS and 300 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine produces 132 PS and 300 Nm of torque. Both the gasoline and diesel versions come with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment.
Only the 4-wheel-drive (4WD) version is available for the Thar Earth Edition; rear-wheel drive (RWD) is also an option for standard versions.
The ex-showroom price range for the Mahindra Thar in India is between Rs 11.25 lakh and Rs 17.60 lakh.
In the market, the Thar Earth Edition faces competition from cars like the Maruti Jimny and the Force Gurkha.
