Mahindra has quietly discontinued the 5-seater variants of its popular XUV700 SUV, which will now be available only in 6- and 7-seater configurations. The updated lineup starts at Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom), marking a shift towards more family-oriented models. Earlier, the 5-seater XUV700 was offered in MX, AX3, and AX5 trims. Prices ranged from Rs 13.99 lakh for the entry-level MX Petrol MT to Rs 19.29 lakh for the AX5 Petrol AT. Diesel versions spanned Rs 14.59 lakh to Rs 19.89 lakh.

Despite the removal of 5-seater options, Mahindra still offers a wide variety with 43 variants in total. The base MX 7-seater now starts at Rs 14.49 lakh, and goes up to Rs 15.49 lakh. In the AX5 lineup, the AX5 S 7-seater begins at Rs 16.89 lakh, while the standard AX5 7-seater starts at Rs 18.34 lakh.
The premium AX7 and AX7 L trims are available in both 6- and 7-seater formats, starting from Rs 19.49 lakh. The top-spec AX7 L ranges between Rs 23.19 lakh and Rs 24.99 lakh.

The XUV700 remains a strong contender in the premium SUV market, known for its extensive feature list, powerful powertrain options, and now, increased focus on larger seating capacity.
