In 2019, with the launch of the Seltos as its first product, Kia made its entrance in the Indian market.

Today, in 2023, the mid-size is about to get its first redesign. Although the new model has been introduced internationally, the Korean automaker is taking its time introducing it in the nation.

Kia Seltos 2023 Can Be Priced Around Rs 10 Lakh: Spied With These Stunning Features (Full Details)

Kia Seltos To be Launched In A New Version

The Kia Seltos is the vehicle that gave rise to the brand and has consistently sold well. The SUV has already been spotted numerous times in India while being tested, but the most recent sighting has revealed some brand-new information.

The India-specific Seltos Facelift was rumoured to be different from the international variant in terms of both design and available equipment.

We reach this conclusion because the test mule’s tail lamps, which had sequential turn indicators, were different from the worldwide model. The worldwide model has a streamlined horizontal LED strip, as opposed to the sequential indicators, which experiment with a number of narrow vertical LED lighting strips.

Additionally, the kit will have two exhausts, one on each end, which are not included in the international model. The aggressive X-Line or GT-Line trims might be the only ones to receive this twin exhaust treatment from Kia.

Kia Seltos Facelift: All You Need To Know

Apart from this, the front design, internal arrangement, and other aspects will be very similar to the worldwide model. In terms of features, the Seltos Facelift will unquestionably be equipped with Level 2 ADAS technology and a panoramic sunroof.

The Seltos Facelift’s engine lineup will remain the same, but the 1.4-liter T-GDi engine will be replaced with a new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 158 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of peak torque.

The 6-speed iMT and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes that will be used with the 1.5 litre CRDi diesel engine have comparable power ratings. The facelifted vehicle will still be powered by the 1.5 litre NA petrol engine.

Kia’s biggest EV SUV, the EV9, has been unveiled after a concept showcase at  Auto Expo 2023 in January.

The three-row EV9, which is around the same size as the Telluride SUV available in the American market, will be both one of Kia’s most costly and biggest models to date.
