To move from a human-led, AI-assisted model to a fully autonomous AI-first approach, Infosys BPM has introduced AI agents for invoice processing within its Infosys Accounts Payable on Cloud solution.

With the help of AI agents with sophisticated decision-making skills, this new model can handle intricate business situations quickly and accurately while requiring the least amount of human intervention.
Infosys BPM Launches AI Agents to Enable Fully Autonomous Invoice Processing
End-to-end workflow automation is supported by the autonomous AI-first approach, which gives the system the ability to execute complex tasks on its own and adjust to shifting business rules.
Large language models (LLMs), Azure AI Foundry, and Cognitive Services via Azure’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) infrastructure are all integrated into the solution, which is driven by Infosys Topaz.
An enterprise-grade, scalable AI environment for intelligent automation is offered by this combined tech stack.
The system was created in partnership with Americana Restaurants, a significant quick-service and out-of-home dining operator with more than 2,600 locations throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and Kazakhstan.
Infosys BPM is now using Agentic AI to further automate invoice processing in an effort to improve accuracy and speed after implementing the Accounts Payable on Cloud solution.
According to Americana Restaurants’ CFO and CGO, Harsh Bansal, the new AI capabilities have enhanced invoice processing by lowering manual labor and improving speed and accuracy.
Microsoft’s Stephen Boyle emphasized that this innovation shows how Infosys can use intelligent automation to propel future business transformation.
Built with Microsoft’s AI stack and Infosys Topaz, the solution is built for autonomy, adaptability, and long-term evolution, stressed Anantha Radhakrishnan, CEO & MD of Infosys BPM.
