Honda Cars India Releases Official Teaser For Upcoming Midsize SUV

Exterior

The teaser displays a sleek-looking LED lighting unit that is flanked on either side of the upright front grille, which has a Honda badge mounted in the middle. The LED fog lamps are housed in the sporty front bumper, which also has a large central air intake.

A skid plate is located in the lower portion of the bumper, and other striking features include flared fenders, roof rails, a raked front windscreen, and a muscular bonnet structure. Also worth mentioning are the side character lines, the black wheel arch cladding, and the electrically adjustable wing mirrors with built-in turn indicators.

Both single- and dual-tone colour schemes will be offered for sale. In conclusion, it appears that the new generation WR-V, which was unveiled globally in November 2022, has had a significant influence on the Honda midsize SUV.

In India, the five-seater is anticipated to be 4.2–4.3 meters in total length and be supported by a modified version of the Amaze compact sedan’s architecture.

Specifications And Features

Honda’s domestic lineup is about to get smaller in advance of the implementation of stricter emission standards starting on April 1, 2023. There will be a discontinuation of the WR-V crossover, Jazz premium hatchback, Amaze and City diesel engines, and the fourth-generation City.

By that time, the Japanese auto giant’s lineup will only include the gasoline-powered Amaze, gasoline, and powerful hybrid gasoline City. As a result, the upcoming Honda midsize SUV is extremely important to the company.

The 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine and the 1.5-liter strong hybrid petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission options are likely to provide the necessary power. A new electronic architecture, a sizable touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital instrument cluster, and ADAS technologies will be present in the cabin.
