In a major push towards electric mobility, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched its first-ever EV concept store at Mantri Square Mall in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. The store aims to educate and engage consumers with Honda’s EV technology, and also marks the debut of a budget-friendly battery subscription plan.

Affordable EV Ownership with New BaaS Lite Plan

Coinciding with the store launch, Honda announced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Lite Plan for its electric scooter, Activa e:. Priced at just Rs 678 per month, the plan allows users up to 20kWh of battery usage per month. It is tailored for riders with lower daily travel needs and complements Honda’s existing Basic and Advance plans.

Battery Plan Breakdown:

  • Lite Plan – 20kWh/month – Rs 678
  • Basic Plan – 35kWh/month – Rs 1,999
  • Advance Plan – 87kWh/month – Rs 3,599

The battery-swapping will be managed through Honda’s Power Pack Exchanger e: network, designed for quick, efficient refills.


EV Concept Store Highlights

The newly launched concept store blends interactive tech with informative exhibits. Key attractions include:

  • Dynamic LED displays showcasing Honda’s EV journey
  • Product displays featuring Activa e:, QC1, and more
  • Safe tech zone explaining PMS motors and battery tech
  • Live demo stations for battery swapping
  • Kids’ activity area for family engagement

Also on display are global innovations like:

  • Honda Jet scale model
  • eGX go-kart powered by swappable batteries
  • Moto Compacto, a foldable e-scooter with a 20km range

Activa e: – Honda’s EV for India

The Activa e: features dual 1.5kWh swappable batteries, delivering a range of 102km on full charge. The launch of the Lite Plan aims to make this scooter more affordable and appealing, especially in urban markets.

With this initiative, Honda is not only expanding its EV footprint in India but also redefining customer experience and accessibility in the electric mobility space.
