A recent circular from the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer in Delhi, dated January 19, 2024 has become the cause of a massive speculation as it was addressed to 11 district officials further talks about April 16, 2024, as a tentative date for Lok Sabha Polls.

Tentative Poll Date Is Released

 “For the ensuing General Election to the Lok Sabha 2024, the Commission has tentatively given the Poll Day as 16.04.2024 for the purpose of reference and to calculate Start and End dates in the Election Planner,” the circular mentioned.

The communication regarding the Lok Sabha 2024 has caused a massive speculation.

This is due to the fact that some of the people believed the rumor that the final election dates have been released in this circular.

Considering the delicate situation, the CEO Delhi quickly jumped in to clarify and later released a statement wherein he explained that nothing has been finalized yet.

Basically, the date mentioned in the circular is a tentative dummy date, so that all can start preparing for the final showdown. 

Moving ahead, the statement clarified that the purpose of giving a dummy date was mainly to “plan activities”.

They emphasized that the date was “tentative” and it was mentioned only for ‘reference’ for officials.

So that they can plan activities as per the Election Planner of ECI.

Some of the recent media reports mentioned that  the Lok Sabha 2024 General Election dates are expected to be announced by the last week of February or March.

This is to ensure that the election schedule is smoothly executed by the end of May.

BJP Lok Sabha Election 2024 Campaign Song

While news of election dates are making rounds, all the prominent political parties in the country also seem to be preparing for the upcoming election.

In one such development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched the campaign for Lok Sabha Election 2024 on Thursday.

As part of their campaign, the saffron party shared a song about why people like Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a 2-minute 10-second video.

This is going to be the BJP titled party’s theme song for the 2024 General election, ‘Tabhi toh sab Modi ko chunte’ (That’s why people choose Modi).

Basically, in this election song, they are showing government schemes which were launched under the tenure of PM Narendra Modi.

It includes schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Har Ghar Nal Scheme, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana among others.
