Google Introduces New Feature in Gemini AI – Photos To Videos

Google’s new photos to videos feature has been powered by Google’s Veo 3 model.

As of now, this feature is available only to Google AI Ultra and Pro users, and that too in select regions.

Google claims that audio descriptions for sound effects, conversation, and background noise will be “perfectly synced with the visuals.”  The final videos are sent as MP4 files in a 16:9 landscape format with a 720p resolution.

Google had already made the same feature available in May for Flow, its AI video tool for filmmakers.

Google had previously released the same feature for its AI video tool for filmmakers, Flow, in May. However, now that Google has introduced this feature in Gemini, there is no need for users to open another app to animate their photographs.

How To Create Videos From Images Using Gemini?

How to use this feature?

  • First, select Videos option from the tool menu in the prompt box.
  • After the tool is selected, you will be required to upload a photo and enter a prompt. The prompt should describe the desired video and audio instructions such as dialogue, sound effects or background music.
  • Once the video is created, you can click on the share button and download it.

Google stated: “You can get creative by animating everyday objects, bringing your drawings and paintings to life or adding movement to nature scenes.”

All AI generated videos will have a visible watermark along with an invisible SynthID digital watermark to indicate they are AI-generated.

It was only 8 days ago, when Google officially rolled out its AI Mode in Search for users in India, marking a major upgrade in how people interact with search results. Initially available in English only, this new feature uses AI to offer detailed, context-rich answers, directly integrated into the traditional search experience.
