As we approach the launch date of the Google Pixel 8 on October 4, there’s new leaked information regarding the accessories included with pre-orders.
Some previously leaked details about the Pixel 8 series have given us a glimpse into what the smartphones might look like.
Pixel 8 Series Leaked About Accessories
The Pixel 8 will come with the Pixel Buds Pro, whereas the Pixel 8 Pro will be accompanied by the upcoming Pixel Watch 2.
According to information from tipster Roland Quandt, these accessory bundles are likely for the US market, and it’s uncertain if they will also be offered in other regions.
Regarding the pricing, a recent leak suggests that the Pixel 8 will start at $699/£699/€799, while the 8 Pro is expected to be priced at $899/£999/€1,099.
In terms of specifications, the Pixel 8 is anticipated to feature a 6.17-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will retain the same camera setup as its predecessor. The significant upgrade comes in the form of the new Tensor G3 chipset.
Color options for the Pixel 8 Pro include Obsidian, Sky Blue, and Porcelain, while the standard Pixel 8 will be available in Gray, Peony Rose, and Obsidian colors.
Pixel 8 Series Leaks Reveal Camera and Chipset Information
It’s anticipated that the design of the Pixel 8 series won’t see significant changes, following the visor-like camera module introduction in the Pixel 7 series. However, there’s a possibility of a shift from a curved display to a flat one for the Pixel 8 Pro, and the edges of the device might adopt a more rounded profile.
The upcoming Pixel smartphones are expected to feature the Tensor G3 chipset, which incorporates AI capabilities. Rumors suggest the integration of staggered HDR technology in the smartphone cameras, enabling the capture of both short and long exposure shots simultaneously.
For the Pixel 8 Pro, an upgrade to its ultrawide lens is speculated, potentially boosting it from 12MP in its predecessor to an impressive 64MP.
In terms of display sizes, the Pixel 8 is likely to come with a 6.2-inch display, while the Pixel 8 Pro could sport a larger 6.71-inch OLED screen with QHD resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, leaks hint at the possibility of Google unveiling the Pixel Watch 2 at the event. This second-generation Pixel Watch is rumored to feature enhanced battery life, an aluminum frame, and a novel real-time stress tracking feature.
