Compared to the prior year, the cost of international vacation packages has increased by 15–25% for the April–June period.

Due to factors like the depreciation of the rupee, tour operators have increased the cost of their packages and passed the increase on to travelers.

International Vacation Packages Increased By 15-25% For April-June

Since 2017–18 and 2018–19, when comparable price increases were observed due to a declining rupee, this price increase is the highest.

Additionally, hotel rates have gone up, which raises the total cost of traveling abroad.

Destinations in Europe and Southeast Asia have been more affected by the price increase.

The demand for travel has remained high despite growing expenses, as more Indians look for far-flung destinations for their holidays.

Many are looking into international options as a result of the surge in domestic hotel and airfare costs caused by the rush to India’s hill stations.

Despite the higher cost due to an expensive dollar, demand for international tour packages has increased further since several countries announced free e-visas.

There is a boost in the family travel segment as it recorded a  growth of 20 percent in comparison with during the same time period in summer 2023.

Similarly, solo travel has also grown 10 per cent during the analysis period.

The trends also reveal the tariff of ₹2,500 to ₹7,000 per night continues to comprise around 45 percent of all homestay bookings.
