Recently, we interacted with Dr. Shreeram Iyer, Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer, Prisma Ai which provides a range of interactive information technology solutions that utilize visual-based recognition systems, such as those for face, video, body, and image, as well as body behavioral and sentiment analysis engines.
Here are the interview highlights:
1) How has Prisma AI’s innovative technology solutions impacted the visual recognition industry in terms of object recognition and real-time decision-making interfaces?
A: Prisma AI believes that Artificial Intelligence is the next step to technological evolution and building an empowered society that makes full use of the potential AI provides. Our innovative solutions leverage AI and computer vision to build Visual-AI based products and solutions using our patented platform Gryphos, to develop and train state-of-the-art solutions for almost every technological hurdle. Prisma AI utilizes AI to provide several core products capable of analyzing various parameters including deep analysis of faces, body movements, sentiments via facial expressions and more, which are all trained as real-time decision-making interfaces that are designed to work autonomously and provide results.
Our object recognition technology in particular, has the ability to identify the type and nature of any object that it detects, especially any bags that are left unattended or lost in a large public space, such as airports, stations and more. In airports, we developed a number of solutions which were designed to ease out pain points, such as poor customer service and long wait times for boarding, with the implementation of body behavior analysis engines and face-as-a-ticket technologies to help in tracking down customers in need and easing the ticket line. These new technologies have had a profound impact in various industries, particularly in areas of large crowds or public gatherings such as airports and banking institutions.
Decision science, which effectively means improvement of judgement and decision making skills is utilized liberally in all our products and engines. Each of our engines is trained carefully to detect a certain case, such as what constitutes as a particular expression on an individual, for sentiment analysis or what a particular body movement can mean for body behavioral analysis. It is this real time decision making interface that makes our products a cut above the rest, providing great utility to any sector they are applied to.
2) What competitive advantages does Prisma AI possess compared to other companies in the AI industry, particularly in terms of its Gryphos deep learning system and AI algorithms?
A: We develop & maintain cooperative relationships with our stakeholders through mutual understanding and respect. Additionally, we adapt to changing market trends and constantly update our technology allowing us to offer a wider range and choice of products according to client requirements, providing the best possible products based on the requirements of our clients. We have been successful in deploying our products in practical scenarios over the years. Before any deployment, we research our target audience and what is their particular requirement, as well as the available camera network and specifications such as the fixed camera angles, maximum turn radius, and more in order to tailor our offerings to be more appealing and utilitarian to them and focusing on creating value for clients through our cognitive solutions adapting vision-based AI. We are one of the top providers of visual-ai based solutions in the world, which is proven by our tenacity in innovation keeping in mind current trends and market demands.
Gryphos, our proprietary platform is developed completely in-house, possessing a library of APIs that can be tailored to the requirements of clients. Gryphos’ exemplary deep learning system essentially develops a second language very much akin to human language and behavior, which assists in analysis of videos, images, objects, face and more for deriving information and predictive analysis using Cognitive intelligences, which in turn can be used to analyze characterization by gestures and behavioral patterns for more analytics and effective information.
3) How has Prisma AI navigated through the COVID-19 pandemic, and what are some of the company’s specific solutions that have been developed to assist during this time?
A: The COVID-19 Pandemic shook the world by storm, transforming our lives and forcing us to maintain a healthy distance from people, places and objects for our own safety and well-being. The pandemic also resulted in the development of various new technologies and practices that encouraged operating with distance, such as contactless elevators, thermal temperature detection systems, face recognition for entry replacing finger biometric, and more.
Prisma AI played an active role in this pandemic, deploying these technologies to aid in various parameters. Contactless elevator systems were deployed to ensure no contact with elevator panels and instead usage of face and voice recognition to reach a floor. Thermal temperature detectors were also deployed in key public gathering areas such as those of public transport to help catch individuals who may be infected. To further encourage no-contact with surfaces, Prisma AI also emphasized on the usage of face recognition for entry and access instead of the standard biometric-fingerprint based entry used in most facilities. We also succeeded in deployment of our solutions from a completely remote location as opposed to the standard on-site deployment, which was of further utility to encourage . These solutions were of great benefit, allowing seamless management of individuals that could be potentially infected, and allowing convenient movement of people in any premises.
4) What are some of the top priorities and expansion plans for Prisma AI in the coming year, and how will the company’s unique strategies and technologies help achieve these goals?
A: Prisma AI’s central priority is to strengthen and grow brand valuation and goodwill through positioning and delivery of successful state of the art applications. We aim to scale the product and business specification implementation across the globe by Improving the decision science capability of our products through continuous technological enhancements. Our eagerness to innovate and develop our solutions in accordance with current market trends will aid in achievement of these goals. Many major issues in several industries have been solved using our Gryphos platform, such as those faced by infrastructure and aviation, alongside our unique strategies that are developed keeping in mind each exact issue.
We aim to expand globally and gain a presence in all international markets. We are currently aiming to expand into the US and create awareness of what we do, alongside other markets in the future.
5) What industries and sectors have Prisma AI’s solutions been applied to, and how have they impacted these areas in terms of safety, efficiency, and cost savings?
A: Prisma AI has developed a variety of solutions utilizing deep learning and artificial neural networks that are tailored to the requirements of several leading industries, such as Aviation, Banking, Infrastructure, and security, to name a few big ones. For instance, highway safety and efficiency has been greatly improved with systems such as red signal violation, lane cutting, speed limit breaking detection systems which help catch individuals who are breaking any of these rules by scanning their number plate. Toll management & parking have greatly increased efficiency with automated toll fee collection systems via license plate scans, and smart parking systems which automatically assign parking slots to individuals based on their vehicle type and nature, eliminating the hassle of finding parking spots.
For Aviation, security systems have been improved as body behavioral analysis and object detection systems can help in catching suspicious individuals or prohibited objects and find lost or unattended baggage to return them to their respective owners promptly. In the banking sector, this can roughly translate into additional security for payments of any kind, such as online payments or ATM withdrawals. The automation achieved in these tasks has resulted in the minimization of much effort for manual labor and resulted in cost savings. While today’s market is not using cognitive intelligence due to deployment and scalability issues, Prisma AI’s Gryphos engine can be used to help in the issues faced with creation of scalable and deployable visual ai applications.
