Q- With the government’s manufacturing push, how do you think the supply chain industry will shape?
India’s ambitious goal to boost manufacturing to 25% of GDP by 2025 presents a substantial opportunity for the nation’s global manufacturing exports. This government-led initiative is set to trigger a notable transformation in the supply chain industry. We can anticipate streamlined processes, heightened demand for efficient logistics, and integration of advanced technologies like AI and automation. Additionally, this drive may foster the growth of local supplier networks, thereby reducing reliance on global sources. However, challenges such as infrastructure development and workforce upskilling will need attention. In summary, the manufacturing push is poised to reshape the supply chain landscape, enhancing overall efficiency and resilience.
Q- What are your thoughts on the National Logistics Policy?
The National Logistics Policy is poised to revolutionize the logistics landscape, offering a comprehensive roadmap to tackle supply chain wastage, trim logistical expenses, and mitigate supply-side constraints. With a strong emphasis on reducing overall logistics costs, the policy is set to catalyze employment generation and skill development, fostering a more robust workforce. Additionally, it will promote the adoption of cutting-edge technology, fostering innovation and enhancing the nation’s competitiveness on the global stage. Furthermore, the policy’s streamlined approach will significantly improve the ease of logistics operations, promoting efficiency and ensuring smoother, more cost-effective transportation and distribution networks.
Q- India is on its way to becoming a global frontrunner in the supply chain. What additional steps can we take to accomplish this goal?
As India charts its course towards becoming a global supply chain leader, several strategic steps can be embraced to further solidify this ambition. Prioritizing substantial infrastructure investments, streamlining cross-border trade, and nurturing a skilled workforce are essential steps. Embracing digitalization and innovation, coupled with incentivizing foreign investments, will be pivotal. Additionally, a revitalized policy framework for Special Economic Zones (enabling duty-free imports) could establish a parallel ecosystem, propelling India into global supply chains while fostering a conducive environment for manufacturing excellence.
Q- What sets your offerings apart and makes a significant impact in the industry?
We have established an integrated procurement system to facilitate supply chain operations and address challenges within the Source-to-Pay cycle. Our asset-light business model, combined with the strategic approach of Direct-to-Enterprise (D2E) Cloud FCs and Dedicated FCs, sets us apart.
