Within the next three months, a number of automakers plan to introduce new seven-seater cars to the Indian market.
For these releases, brands including Kia, Jeep, BYD, and JSW MG are preparing, providing a range of options from luxury to reasonably priced family automobiles.
Jeep and Kia To Introduce Seven Seater Cars
By late 2024, the Jeep Meridian facelift is anticipated to arrive, bringing with it mid-cycle changes like improved aesthetics and an upgraded interior equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
While keeping its current performance specifications, the Meridian facelift will have a reworked grille, revamped front and back bumpers, and new alloy wheels.
Two new vehicles from Kia will be unveiled on October 3. The first is the all-new Kia Carnival, which will have an updated exterior and interior that follow Kia’s most recent design philosophies.
The Kia Carnival is a fully imported model that comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission, a 2.2L diesel engine, and the Limousine trim level.
On October 3, 2024, Kia will also introduce the EV9, a flagship electric SUV, as a completely imported GT-Line AWD model; however, India will only get the six-seater model, not the seven-seater worldwide version.
Premium amenities including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and ADAS are all included in the EV9, which is based on Kia’s E-GMP platform.
The engine and gearbox options of the Gloster will not change, but MG will introduce a facelifted model with major interior and cosmetic changes.
MG and BYD Join The Wagon
With the Gloster facelift, MG is aiming to compete with the Toyota Fortuner and further develop its strategy of offering more ICE and electric vehicles in India.
The eMax 7, a redesigned e6 MPV with an upgraded exterior and a more sophisticated interior, is scheduled to be unveiled by BYD.
In an effort to increase its market share in India for electric vehicles, BYD has opened pre-orders for the eMax 7, which is scheduled to go on sale next month.
These seven-seater versions are a response to the increasing need in India for roomy, adaptable cars that can fulfill a variety of consumer demands, such as luxury, electric mobility, and family-friendly choices.
