X Testing Game Streaming And Live Shopping Features

Besides this, X has roped in influencer Paris Hilton to promote new live shopping features for the platform, as per a media report.

While posting a video on X, Musk on Monday said, “Tested the X video game streamer system last night. It works! Will try to complete a Tier 100 Nightmare dungeon tonight live on this platform.”

A few hours later, he streamed the Nightmare dungeon game on X in an almost 40-minute-long video.

He has captioned the video as “Testing video game streaming on X.”

As expected, several users expressed their views on this development.

One such response came from a user saying ”Embarking on a journey with X live game streaming! It’s a whole new world of gaming, and I can’t wait to share my experiences with all of you. Expect some action-packed gaming sessions and interactive fun.”

Another user wrote, “This is gonna be my new favorite way to watch streams.”

Further, Elon Musk showed off the feature with a Diablo IVlivestream, posted with the account handle @cyb3rgam3r420, according to Engadget which is a multilingual technology blog network with daily coverage of gadgets and consumer electronics.

Lateron, Musk replied to the tweet and confirmed they were testing live streaming.

In another tweet, X, engineer Mark Kalman shared a video, explaining how Premium members can set up the livestream on X, by connecting their Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) to their X account using X Media Studio.

The company announced a new partnership with socialite Paris Hilton and her 11:11 Media company to begin experimenting with live shopping features, in a separate development.

Influencer Paris Hilton will be promoting new live shopping features for the platform and Hilton will produce four original video programs per year, under this deal.

Confirming the same, Hilton, chairwoman and CEO of 11:11, said in an audio post on the service “I’m excited to announce an official partnership with X today,”.

In addition to this, the users will be able to chat and shop within the livestream itself and will be directed to the in-app browser for purchases.

So far, there is no official word on when the new features will be announced publicly.
