Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Leaks Reveal Features Details
The leaked images reveal a device with the code ‘WEC0696M,’ indicating that it could be a test unit. According to the Reddit thread, the owner or tester of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 unit expressed an intention to sell it to the user who shared the leaked photos.
The leaked images align with previously leaked renders and tweeted images of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. The outer cover display appears similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, with thin bezels on the sides and a slightly thicker bezel at the bottom. The rear panel showcases the anticipated camera setup, consisting of three cameras and an LED flash located outside the slightly raised camera module.
A photo of the folded top end of the alleged Galaxy Z Fold 5 reveals three microphones and a speaker grille, suggesting an improved folding design compared to the previous model.
Galaxy Z Fold 5: Specifications
Another leaked photo displays the inner display, although the dim lighting makes it challenging to assess the thickness of the bezels. However, it appears that the display is not completely gapless, especially closer to the hinge. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature a redesigned hinge, aiming to minimize the deep crease often associated with Samsung’s foldable devices.
As for specifications, reports indicate that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 might come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It is expected to feature a 7.6-inch full-HD+ inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the outer display is anticipated to measure 6.7 inches with a resolution of 904 x 2,316 pixels.
The rear camera setup is rumored to include a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. Selfies might be handled by a 10-megapixel camera embedded in the cover display, along with a 4-megapixel under-display camera on the inner folding display. The device is expected to offer the usual connectivity options and an IPX8 water resistance rating. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 might feature a 4,400mAh battery and weigh approximately 253g.
