The compact SUV segment is set for an exciting phase in the coming months, with several highly anticipated models gearing up for launch. As competition intensifies, automakers are increasingly focusing on hybrid and electric powertrains, advanced safety technologies, and modern features to attract buyers. Compact SUVs priced under Rs. 10 lakh will see particular action, with models offering refreshed designs, electrification, and new feature sets entering the market soon.

Upcoming Compact SUV Launches: Venue, Punch, XUV 3XO EV, and Kiger Facelift

Leading the charge is the next-generation Hyundai Venue, scheduled for launch this festive season. It will feature a major design overhaul, a reworked cabin, and possibly advanced safety features like Level 2 ADAS, although the existing powertrain options are expected to continue. Meanwhile, Tata Motors is preparing a facelift for the Punch, its best-selling compact SUV. The updated model will adopt Tata’s latest design language, gain minor exterior changes, and likely receive new features to strengthen its market appeal further.

Mahindra is also stepping up its electric game with the upcoming XUV 3XO EV, set to launch soon. Positioned below the XUV400, this compact electric SUV will compete against the Tata Punch EV and is expected to offer a range of 400–450 km per charge. On the other hand, Renault is readying the Kiger facelift, which has already been spotted testing. The refreshed Kiger will likely sport updated exterior styling and new cabin features while retaining the current 1.0L NA petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol engine options paired with manual and automatic gearboxes.

Maruti Fronx Hybrid Leads the Charge in Compact SUV Innovation

Adding to the momentum, Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce the Fronx Hybrid. While maintaining its coupe-inspired design, the Fronx Hybrid will feature a new electrified 1.2L Z12E petrol engine. This move is expected to deliver improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions, making it an attractive option for eco-conscious buyers. Overall, the coming months promise an exciting wave of innovation in the compact SUV space, with brands aggressively pushing new technologies and smarter powertrains to capture the attention of Indian consumers.

Summary:

India’s compact SUV segment is heating up with upcoming launches under ₹10 lakh, including the Hyundai Venue facelift, Tata Punch update, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, Renault Kiger facelift, and Maruti Fronx Hybrid. Automakers are focusing on electrification, safety, and features to attract value-conscious, tech-savvy, and eco-friendly consumers.
