The project will span across 463 kilometers in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.

Along the way, there will be eleven stops, three of which will be in Bengaluru. Trains will have the ability to go at up to 350 km/h. The speed at which it operates will be 320 km/h and an average speed of 250 km/h.

Chennai, Poonamallee, Chittoor, Kolar, Kodahalli, Whitefield, Baiyappanahalli, Electronics City, Kengeri, Mandya, and Mysuru are among the places the route will stop.

The project’s goal is to make it possible to travel from Mysuru to Chennai in 90 minutes. Segments of the project will be underground, at-grade, and elevated.

The majority of the route will go through greenfield regions. There will be a 30-kilometer tunnel network as part of the project.

The length of the tunnel portions is as follows: 2.5 km in Chennai; 11.8 km in Chittoor; 2 km in Bengaluru Rural; and 14 km in Bengaluru City.

First Phase To Go 306 Kilometers Between Bengaluru and Chennai

The project’s first phase will go 306 kilometers between Bengaluru and Chennai. Phase II would travel 157 kilometers to reach Mysuru from Bengaluru. Karnataka makes up 258 kilometers of the entire length.

The route passes through Tamil Nadu for 132 kilometers. The remainder lies in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Along its path, 313 towns and villages will be impacted by the project. Thorough planning and organization are essential to the project’s accomplishment.

The Mysuru-Bengaluru-Chennai corridor is expected to have a major positive impact on tourism and regional development. The Kolar district government arranged a public consultation as well as a discussion of the environmental and socioeconomic impacts.

The Deputy Commissioner’s office hosted a meeting where the project details were discussed. The project will start as soon as the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor is finished. The Mysuru-Bengaluru-Chennai corridor represents a noteworthy progression in the transportation infrastructure of India.
