In addition, OpenAI is focused on improving Japan’s AI infrastructure. According to a Nikkei report, Altman and Son are planning to host a forum in Tokyo with around 500 businesses to discuss building data centers and power plants. Altman also shared plans to develop “a new kind of hardware” using AI in collaboration with Jony Ive, Apple’s former chief design officer, although this project will take several years to complete.
