Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is gearing up for an ambitious product launch plan, focusing on affordable and diverse vehicles over the next 2-3 years. The company aims to expand its portfolio with various body styles and advanced drivetrain options, including hybrid and electric models, to cater to evolving market demands.

Budget-Friendly Maruti Suzuki Cars Launching Soon: eWX, Fronx, Punch-Competitor

Maruti Suzuki’s Upcoming Micro SUV, MPV, and Electric Hatchback

One key development is a new micro SUV expected by late 2026, designed to compete with popular models like the Tata Punch. This compact crossover will likely feature a petrol-hybrid setup to appeal to budget-conscious buyers seeking efficiency. Alongside this, Maruti Suzuki is reportedly working on a three-row compact MPV to sit below the Ertiga, potentially based on the global Spacia model, aimed at families needing more space without a high price tag.

On the electric front, the company is developing the Maruti Suzuki eWX, a compact electric hatchback inspired by the eWX concept previously revealed in Japan. This model is designed with a tall, upright stance to maximize interior space and is expected to offer two battery variants, delivering an estimated range of 250-300 km per charge, making it suitable for city driving.

Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx Hybrid and Next-Gen Baleno Revamp

The Fronx, another popular Maruti Suzuki model, is also set for an upgrade. A recent spy shot revealed a camouflaged prototype bearing a hybrid badge, indicating the introduction of a new mild-hybrid powertrain, possibly shared with the ASEAN-market Dzire. This will enhance fuel efficiency and lower emissions without compromising performance.

Looking ahead, the next-generation Baleno, expected in 2026, promises a major makeover with sharper styling, upgraded cabin technology, and improved features. The highlight will likely be a strong in-house developed hybrid powertrain, further pushing Maruti Suzuki’s green mobility ambitions.

Maruti Suzuki’s New Entry-Level Hatchback: Affordable, Efficient, and Versatile

Lastly, Maruti Suzuki is working on a new small hatchback targeting entry-level buyers. This model will emphasize affordability, fuel efficiency, and versatility by offering hybrid, CNG, and flex-fuel options, making it an attractive choice for first-time car buyers focused on low running costs.

Overall, Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming lineup reflects a clear strategy to blend affordability, innovation, and sustainability in the competitive Indian automobile market.

Summary:

Maruti Suzuki plans to launch diverse, affordable vehicles over the next 2-3 years, including a petrol-hybrid micro SUV, a three-row MPV, and the electric eWX hatchback. Upgrades to the Fronx hybrid and next-gen Baleno with strong hybrid tech are expected. A new entry-level hatchback will focus on efficiency and versatility.
