In 2024, BMW Group India recorded its best-ever annual car sales, with an 11% growth, delivering 15,721 cars and 8,301 motorcycles. BMW accounted for 15,012 units, while MINI contributed 709. The company also achieved its highest sales in Q4 (4,958 units, +15%) and December (2,244 units, +17%).

BMW Group India’s Record Sales in 2024: Leadership in Luxury Cars, EVs, and SAVs

Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, credited the company’s success to a robust product lineup, new initiatives like Retail.NEXT, and personalized customer experiences. BMW is leading in various segments, such as electric mobility, luxury cars, and premium compact vehicles. The BMW Luxury Class (7 Series, i7, X7, XM) achieved record sales of 2,507 units, with the BMW X7 leading at 1,570 units. In electric vehicles (EVs), BMW delivered 1,249 units, marking its third consecutive year as a leader in India’s luxury EV market. The BMW iX remains the most popular luxury EV with over 1,100 units sold.

BMW Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) made up 56% of total sales, with 8,351 units delivered, reflecting a 16% increase. The BMW X5 recorded its highest sales ever, with 2,056 units sold. The BMW 3 Series long-wheelbase model, in high demand, contributed notably to sales, alongside the BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase, which saw over 1,000 deliveries within just six months.

BMW M had an impressive year, with 875 deliveries, fuelled by popular models such as the BMW M340i. MINI also saw strong growth, delivering 709 units, including a 77% increase in sales of the MINI 3-Door Cooper S. BMW Motorrad delivered 8,301 units, with a particularly strong second half of the year, totalling 4,687 units.

BMW Group India maintains its 360° finance plan, providing flexible car ownership options. The company’s network spans over 80 touchpoints across India, complemented by robust financial services that cater to its premium customer base.
